Good morning  I am building a cnc using a CNC XPRO V3 Controller GRBL1.1 board with Mac OS 10.13. I have downloaded drivers from FTDI Chip site and followed the troubleshooting for the installation. However no communication can be made with UGS or Arduino IDE. I have checked all connections and setups but keeps giving ERROR Programmer not responding. I have contacted Spark-fun and they only give me driver problem as advise. I have connected an Arduino for testing and that board works 100% Please could someone advise me regards to this issue

I’ll go ahead and guess you never actually programmed the UNO…. ie, it was not flashed with GRBL. Alternatively, your baud rate might be wrong

I have checked baud rate is set to 115200 as per instructions in troubleshooting from FDTI. I did flash the UNO with GRBL and tested it with UGS and it works.

OK get it now, you can get a Ardunio to connect but the CNC XPRO V3 Controller won’t connect. – We don’t use the CNC XPRO V3 Controller, so who know? can you actually see the device when it connects in your Device manager?
